B2B Modular System for Marketo · Teladoc Health
Project Overview
This project involved the complete redesign of Teladoc Health’s B2B email design system, built for scalability and implementation within Marketo. The challenge was to unify a highly fragmented ecosystem of email templates—plagued by visual inconsistencies, manual errors, and heavy design dependency—while working strictly within established Teladoc Health brand guidelines.
I designed a fully modular system in Figma using an Atomic Design methodology, translating Marketo requirements into a flexible shell, a robust module library, and repeatable templates. Special attention was given to high-complexity use cases such as event communications, newsletters, and categorized campaigns (e.g. Partner Essentials), with extensive exploration of spacing, padding, and layout permutations to ensure long-term durability and ease of use for non-design teams.
Results & Impact
The modular framework significantly reduced QA issues and manual errors—such as inconsistent logo usage, typography, spacing, and CTAs—while accelerating email production and enabling marketing teams to confidently build campaigns without ongoing design support. By shifting away from image-heavy layouts toward standardized, text-forward components aligned with enterprise email deliverability best practices, the system supported broader reach and reduced risk of spam filtering in corporate environments. Successfully implemented in Marketo, this design system now serves as the foundation for an AI-powered automation layer, transforming email creation from a manual, error-prone process into a scalable, governed, and future-ready communication platform developed over an 8-month design and systems effort.
